THOUSAND YEARS

“Heart beats fast. Colour and promises. How to be brave? How can I love when I am afraid to fall? But watching you stand alone. All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow. One step closer. I died everyday waiting for you. Darling, do not be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years. I will love you for a thousand more. Time stand still. Beauty in all she is. I will be brave. I will not let anything take away what is standing in front of me. Every breath . every hour that come to this.

 Like a big stone fall in my head. Tears drop heavily. Slowly, I fell on the ground. Hoping it was not true. “Be patient, your mother had a heart problem. She need a donour as soon as possible. She in a critical stage.” Said the doctor. “What should I do?” asked me. “For now, you need to stay beside her. Give her strength to stay life. I will try my best for your mother.

 With a strength, my hand push the door. Sound of the door make me more nervous. My eyes was searching for her. She was sitting on the wheelchair . Watching the view from window. I took a deep breath. With a bright smile, I walked towards her and greet her. She smile. Pale smile. After that, I keep communicate with her. Hoping that she will never lose hope. Everyday, I visited her until she can laugh again. When the first time I heard her laugh, I run towards the door  to avoid my mother from seeing me crying. After a few week, there still no donour yet. My mother condition become worst. Family and friend visited her everyday and give a lot of support. I looked at her deeply. “Can’t watch my mother after this?” my heart was caution.

“Mrs. Adam? Can you hear me?” she opened her eyes slowly. Trying to recognise the voice. A few second then, she saw doctor with nurse. “Do you feel sick or anything wrong?” asked doctor. “No,” she said. “Thanks goodness, your body can accept the heart.” Said doctor. Her face was bright like a sunshine. The first one that she wanted see was her daughter . “Where is my daughter? Why she did not come? She suppose to know that I was fine right now. Did she go to somewhere else?” Asked she. The doctor and the nurse stare at each other.

Slowly, he pulled out a letter. “ I hope you can accept the fate.” Said doctor. She was clueless. Her hand was shaking while holding the letter. With a deep breath, the letter was folded.

“Dear mom, when you read this letter I was no longer with you. Be strong. Do you still remember when I was kid. You would read a same story for me every night. Story about ‘you and me’. Sometimes, you will fall asleep while reading. We always play together eventhought you were busy with worked. I always told you my secrets to you and you told  your secrets to me. I hope I can turn back time. The memory that will always in my heart even in a thousand years. I hope you can move on and enjoy your life. I will stand there beside you as a wind. Just close your eyes and remember our memory when you miss me. Thank you for the cherish moment you gave me. I will always you for a thousand years and I will love you for a thousand more.”

Sunshine

She weep, her daughter make her accept the fate that her daughter was no longer in the world. She move on with her life. She strong as she knew that her daughter always in her heart. But, God love them more. Both them died at the same place but different time. In her’s mother hand, there is a memo pad with a short word ‘I will always love you for a thousand years my Sunshine’.

The Doll

THE DOLL

   Hayden had gotten the doll in the mail. She didn’t know who it was from, seeing as there was no name on the box and no return address. The doll was beautiful. It stood three feet tall and had long dark brown hair. Its blue eyes looked far too real in her porcelain face. The doll features had been made to give her a delicate and pleasant countenance.

    As she took the doll out of the box it had come in, Hayden noticed a sealed envelope attached to the bottom. She looked at the front of it, which read “to you” took out the card and began reading,

                         Now that I’ve found you,

                         We’ll never be apart.

    Hayden was totally unaware that she had been reading the massage aloud. As she continued looking at the card, she was suddenly overcome with a weird, eerie sensation as though someone were watching her. She looked toward the doll and saw that doll was looking right back at her, which weird because she could have sworn her head had been turned down when she had taken her out of the box.

    Putting the note on the table Hayden picked the doll up and stood it in the corner of her living room. For the next ten minutes she walked through her apartment tidying up and trying to shake off the eerie feeling she had gotten from the doll.

    At two o’clock that afternoon, Hayden though that it would be a good idea to get out of the apartment for a while, so she decided to visit her sister. Her older sister, Alice, was the only one family she had left. Ever since they were little girls the two of them had be extremely close. As she walked out of her apartment building, Hayden signalled for a taxi, fifteen minute later, the driver pulled up to her sister’s building.

    Hayden took the elevator up to the fourth floor and as the door opened she was met by big sister. They hugged each other. Alice made some tea and the girls sat down.

    “I’ve been thinking about mom a lot lately”. Hayden stated.

     “I hope you haven’t been blaming yourself for what happened. You know that wasn’t your fault.” Her older sister responded seriously.

    Hayden couldn’t help but think about the hard time she had been having over the past couple of years, taking care of her mother who had schizophrenia. Hayden had decide that their mother would be better taken care of in a mental hospital institution, to which Alice had agreed. Both girls had continuously visited their mother in the hospital for months, but eventually their mother become more violent and the visitations stopped completely. A year later the girl’s mother died alone in her room at Point View Psychiatric Hospital.

      “You have to move on”. Alice told Hayden. “Mom would have wanted both of us to”.

       “I know,” Hayden responded plaintively.

       “I got a doll in the mail today.” She said, deciding to change the subject.

        “Yeah?” her sister said, happy to be talking about something else.

    “Yes, she’s beautiful, she looks...”

    “What?” Alice asked as she noticed her sister had stopped talking.

    “She looks a lot like the ones mom used to get us when we were little girls, only this one is taller.”

     “Who sent it?” Alice asked as she felt a sensation that was one of fear creeping up the back of her neck, fear not for herself but for her sister. It was ridiculous she knew, but she couldn’t help it.

      “I don’t know, there was no name or return address.” Hayden responded.

       “That’s weird.” Alice stated, trying to shake off the strange feeling.

  Pretty soon Hayden decided that she would better get back to her own apartment. Opening the door to her apartment, she wanted to get sleep because she was exhausted. She turned on the light and stopped when she saw the doll. Hayden couldn’t help but think that the doll looked like a real human girl standing in the corner. The doll-facial features seemed to be changing, seemed to be becoming more human like. Its eyes now were so intensive and alive that Hayden felt as if this thing wasn’t really a doll at all but something very different. As she stared at the doll, Hayden realized that it was beginning to look more like someone she knew. It was beginning to look like her mother.

   Grabbing the doll, Hayden ran to her hallway closet and threw it inside, slamming the door shut. She couldn’t knock the fear of the feeling that her mother was still around. She was asleep after that because too exhausted. A few hour later, as she opened her eyes she heard a voice coming from the hallway. It was the sound of a door creaking open, and then the small patter of footsteps.

   What did I do? Hayden thought as the doll stood in her doorway staring at her, the eyes which had once looked alive, now she looked dead, but still as intense as the first time she had took her out of the box. The doll was saying something and although Hayden couldn’t hear it voice, she was able to read the doll lips, “You know what you did.” “What do you want?” Hayden suddenly screamed at the doll as she found her voice. She stared in horror as the doll began walking toward her and Hayden heard its voice for the first time.

“Now that I’ve found you, we’ll never be apart.” Hayden screamed at the top of her lungs as she realized she was staring face to face not with a doll anymore, but her mother. When darkness come in, she didn’t try to fight it. Finally Hayden submerged in darkness.

 As she open her eyes, she couldn’t say a word so that she just stared blankly at the wall. From every corner of the room she knew that she in a hospital. Just then Alice stepped into the room holding something behind her back.

“Hi sweetie, how are you feeling?” Alice asked devastated as she though about how familiar this whole situation was. Hayden could feel a tears stinging her eyes as she began to share everywhere, that feeling again, she though.

“Oh no Hayden, don’t cry. Look I’ve bought you someone to keep you company.” Alice stated, holding up the four feet doll. Hayden looked up at the doll and screamed at the top of her lungs. She could heard scarcely audible voice that said “I’ve found you, we’ll never be apart.

Beuty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast

He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His father was a famous business man in Scotland and that was why James got the privileged to study in an elite school which was only for the rich and famous. On the other hand, only lucky commoners who possessed a brilliant brain could study there. James was a handsome, tall and stylish guy, that why the girls went crazy over him. Since, all his friend was good looking too, so they were known as the ‘hot’ guys in the school. James was also known as a captain for his school’s basketball team. They had always be seen practising as to make sure they grabbed the best title in any championship. After the practise, the girl would mop them for a little chat. Only the chosen ones could talk to them, then these fortunate lasses would be respected by others because the hot guy were very arrogant and too picky.

On the other side of the world, there was Betty, a fusty girl with a big spectacles, braces on her teeth and a pony tail who lived in a small, poor, outskirt town in Scotland. Her father was a farmer and her mother was died since she was a baby. Although she was in poverty but she manage to get flying colour results in any examination. One fine day, she got a letter from Scotland High School. She was surprised by the letter. Betty was offered of scholarship to further her studies at the school. She was at cloud nine because she never expected that she could be accepted in the famous school.

Upon registration, Miss Foley brought her to a class. Before arriving at her class. She could see many student with branded and expensive clothes. She only wore old fashion clothes. She felt very humble and kept looking at the floor. As she entered the classroom, all eyes converged at her. She had goose-bumps. Miss Foley asked her to introduced herself. “Hello, my  name is Betty Bake”, as soon as she was done with the words, everyone in the class laughed at her. One of the student interrupted, “Is ugly Betty, your mom?”. Betty kept holding back her anger because she knew that she was a new student and for sure there would be no who wanted to back her up. Miss Foley asked her to sit at any place that she liked but when she went towards the chair, the student would say the chair belonged to her friend. Finally, she got a chair which beside the handsome guy, James. The guy turned his head to her and said “welcome”. She just smiled back to James.

Every day, Betty would sit beside James. They never had a chat. One day, when all student went for recess and only them in the class. James asked her to join for recess. She was hesitated to answer it because she had no money to buy any food. “Do you have any problems?”, James asked Betty. Betty took a few minutes to answer it. She was dubious to share her problem. “My father was is sick due to cancer”, Betty replied. “I am sorry, I do not know about this”, James felt sorry for her. James treated Betty a slice of blueberry chocolate cake and orange juice. From that day, they got closer and James always spent time with Betty.

Betty always shared her problem with James. James would give moral support to her. As the time passed, James’s feeling towards Betty as a friend turned to love. He wanted to have a more serious relationship with Betty. Although everyone kept saying Betty was ugliest girl in the school but he believed that beauty lies on the eyes of the beholder. For him, Betty was very special because she was courageous, strong and tough to face any problems. Betty realized about James’s feeling but she was afraid that she was just dreaming. Betty realized about James’s feeling but she was afraid that she was just dreaming. Betty discerned that she was not suitable for James because she was poor girl.

Everyone in the school wondered about their relationship. Gorgeous with ugly Betty? This question kept questioning them. The other girls were jealous or Betty. The other girl jealous of Betty. They always bullied her like pouring chilli source on Betty’s chairs, threw her homework in the dustbin and stole her spectacle. James always became a hero to her. Since James befriended with Betty, he always skipped his basketball practise. His friend were not satisfied with him because he was no longer a responsible team member. He kept in his mind that Betty was number one.

One day, his friend asked him to come to the basketball court. They told him that they did not like the relationship. ‘If you want to befriend with us, leave her but if not, please let go your position as the captain as the team”, his friends warned him.” “I need time to think about it”, he replied. But his friends refused to wait, they wanted an immediately answer. After considering it prudently, James made a big decision that he wanted to leave Betty because he was influence by his friend. They told him that Betty only wanted his money.

Day by day, James furthered himself from Betty. Betty was very sad. James had become like other who was always bullied her. For this ego, he kept holding back his feelings. Although he knew that he was wrong but he did not apologise to Betty.

James always dreaming about Betty. Now he realise that he really loved Betty and he needed her in life. James shared his problem with his brother. His brother advised him to buy a necklace and gave it to Betty during the revelation. James tried to practise a few times until he had the confidence to confess about his feeling.

“Saw you from the distance, saw you from the stage, something about your eyes to look into, something about your beautiful face...”, James tried to remember the sweet words that his brother taught him.

One day, James rushed to go to class during recess. He brought along the necklace and the sweet words in his mind. James was so nervous to open the classroom’s door. He prayed to God to help him. After taking a deep breath, James open the door. He was so surprised because he saw Betty was kissing with another boy. The boy confessed to Betty that he loved Betty that he loved her very much. James’s heart was broken into million pieces. He left and closed the door behind him quietly.
